Here at Levitate Exercise Physiology, we strive to go beyond the general treatment approach. Through our continuous education in additional training we work on your body as a whole, to assist in healing your aches and pains. We use an in depth movement analysis to connect your movement patterns with your musculoskeletal problems to help identify the underlying cause of your problem. Instead of just fixing the problem we strive to ensure this problem does not return. We aim to have your body functioning at its optimum so you perform every day without any concerns.
How are we different?
Instead of using a basic assessment protocol, we use the Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA), flexibility, balance, strength and motor control tests to provide us with a clear understanding of how your body functions. For example: if you suffer from back pain, there may be many contributing factors placing excessive strain on your back like a lack of mobility in your hips or back. Traditional approaches would look at the spine in detail to determine the local problem, which may be causing a pain response. We don’t just look at the spine, but at the way you move in your body in daily life, from how you get in and out of a chair, to how you roll out of bed, squat to sit down, walk up and down stairs, twist and turn etc. If you are from an athletic background we will assess the movements related to your specific sport.
By undergoing this thorough assessment process we are able to identify your individual requirements specifically for your body and help resolve the underlying issue with our advanced treatment techniques.
